The Lavender Hill Mob

1951 · 1h 21m · ★ 7.2 · U

Alec Guinness plays a timid bank clerk who has spent twenty grey years guarding gold he will never own — then quietly decides to steal all of it. The most genteelly subversive of the Ealing comedies, larceny as the last refuge of the put-upon Englishman.
