About NUX

NUX is a portfolio project: a streaming app for 72 British films and documentaries, plus one game and one course. Six of its collections were put together by hand, among them The Essential Ten and London After Dark. The Curator and the weekly collections are written by an AI model that can only pick from this catalogue.

Why collections

Most streaming apps open on hundreds of posters. NUX opens on a few short collections, with a line on why each film is there.

The catalogue

This showcase is built on British cinema — from The Third Man and Black Narcissus to Aftersun and Saint Maud — with real posters, stills and trailers. The genre artwork and fictional titles are original, generated in a single editorial style.

NUX is a design-system project: every screen is built on one token set that flips between wireframe and hi-fi, and shipped as a responsive React app on a self-hosted server.
