Privacy

NUX is a portfolio project, not a business, and nothing here is sold. This page says what the app keeps and where it goes.

On your device

Without an account, your list, what you’ve watched, your Downloads list, your genre picks, recent searches and the player’s volume stay in this browser. Clearing the site’s data removes them.

Your conversation with the Curator is kept in this browser too, with or without an account, for 7 days. Signing out clears it.

With an account

An account holds your name, your email address and your password, stored as a bcrypt hash and never in plain text. Your list, watch history and conversation with the Curator are kept on the NUX server, so they follow you. Signing in sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; 14 days without using NUX signs you out.

You can delete the account in Settings. Everything above goes from the server at once.

The Curator

What you write to the Curator goes to the NUX server and on to an AI model (Groq or Google Gemini) that writes the answer. When you’re signed in, the titles on your list and in Continue Watching go along too, so the picks can build on them. Keep anything private out of what you write.

Analytics

The app uses Microsoft Clarity to see how its screens are used: taps, scrolling and which pages are opened. What you type into forms is masked, with one exception: a search becomes part of the page’s address, and Clarity records addresses. Clarity sets cookies of its own. Visits are also counted with Umami on our own server (stats.ontwrpn.com, in the EU): it sets no cookies and stores no IP address, and records the page, the referrer, the country and the browser and device type.

The game’s leaderboard

Scores in Neon Drift go on a public leaderboard. A guest’s score shows the name typed for it; a signed-in player’s shows their first name and the initial of their last name.

Email and notifications

Password reset emails are sent through Resend. If you turn on notifications, your browser’s push address is stored so the weekly note about new collections can reach you. Turning them off deletes it. The address belongs to the browser, not the account, so deleting the account leaves it in place until notifications are turned off.

Trailers

Trailers play from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own terms apply to them.
